Tunisair, Mauritius Airlines Among World’s Worst in AirHelp Ranking

Tunisair and Air Mauritius have been ranked among the world’s worst airlines in the latest AirHelp report, which named Brussels Airlines as the best globally.

None of Africa’s carriers made it into the top 10, but three were listed among the bottom 10. Tunisair, the national airline of Tunisia, was ranked the worst globally, scoring poorly on punctuality and customer satisfaction.

The airline failed to meet basic passenger expectations, with subpar performance across key service metrics.

Nouvelair, another Tunisian carrier, placed third-worst with a score of 4.48, attributed to delays and ineffective handling of claims, denting its customer experience.

Air Mauritius ranked ninth among the worst, scoring 4.84. While the airline earned some praise for its inflight services, poor punctuality and inadequate claims processing weighed heavily on its performance.

Brussels Airlines Tops Global Rankings

Belgium’s Brussels Airlines emerged as the top airline worldwide for 2024, achieving a score of 8.12 out of 10.

The carrier excelled in punctuality, service quality, and compensation claim handling, distinguishing itself from competitors.

Qatar Airways took the second spot with a score of 8.11. The Doha-based carrier maintained its reputation for luxury and customer satisfaction, earning particularly high marks in customer opinion with an 8.9 score.

AirHelp’s annual rankings evaluate airlines based on punctuality, service quality, and claim processing efficiency, providing a global benchmark for the aviation industry.
